The Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me

Satan’s temptations were possibly the third most grievous experience Jesus endured (behind Gethsemane and the cross). The Hebrew and Greek meaning of “tempt” is to try, test, or prove. King Benjamin describes the Savior: “he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue” (Mosiah 3:7).
